THE USE OF GAMEBASED LEARNING METHODS FOR TEACHING SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SUBJECTS

Abstract


Supply chains are complex and the information and data exchange takes place at different levels. Future managers need to be trained in taking decisions under uncertainty and to reflect on how these decisions impact the whole organization. The paper presents a case study carried out on the Beware game that is used at the University of Bremen to prepare students as best as possible for these dynamic working environments and to give them the opportunity to acquire risk management skills during their studies.
