TECHNOLOGY FOR PRELIMINARY LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF LANGUAGE TRAINING PROGRAMS

Abstract


The quick advance of technology has a strong impact on all aspects of society development. The new concepts and methods of training and education based on technology are designed to bring a higher degree of attractiveness and interactivity. Moreover, educational products could be accessible anywhere, anytime and available at lower costs to a great number of subjects.

In the recent years, all modern armies use technology to improve their educational and training processes. This article attempts to present some aspects of technology used in the education and training system of the Romanian Armed Forces and the advantages brought about by that. In this sense, the article brings to your attention two important projects developed by Human Resources Management Directorate together with „Carol I” National Defence University. The first one aims at performing the English language preliminary assessment of candidates while the other has in view the maintenance and slight increase of the skills acquired at daily courses by means of online English language courses.
